Marilyn Hurst bio

Marilyn’s art career began to flourish in the early 90’s when she discovered a hidden reservoir of creative energy. Working exclusively with Chris MacClure, her passion for art grew and with it, a new found respect for the stamina and resolve needed to make the art profession work for oneself.

In 1997, Marilyn and partner Chris MacClure, put together an amazing collection of art and artists into the forefront of the art community as the Golden Cactus Gallery, Cabo San Lucas, Baja, Mexico, where they rapidly became the best fine art gallery in Los Cabos. In 2009 after 13 years in the business, they sold the gallery to make time for painting and travelling.

They enjoy many months in Cabo painting, doing shows and contributing to the arts in Mexico.

Marilyn’s work includes portraiture, abstract and romantic vignettes of the Baja or where ever inspiration calls. She has a growing list of worldwide commission clients.
