Fernando Tames bio
Fernando’s career has spanned 30 years including many studying under different and important master artists in Mexico City.
He has also participated in many group shows as well as many solo exhibitions. Some were at prestigious art centers in Mexico City such as the Palacio de Bellas Artes, the 3rd biennial de Pintura Rufino Tamayo, the Auditorio Nacional, the Galeria Metropolitana, as well as at the Museum of Cozumel Island.
Other exhibitions include Exhibicion Anual de Pintura, Mexico City, exhibitions and galleries in Vancouver, Canada, and his work may be viewed at the Golden Cactus Gallery in Cabo San Lucas.
Internationally collected and well respected by his contemporaries in Mexico for his inspired abstract and figurative expressionist work, Fernando’s studio is in Elias Calles, an hour from Cabo San Lucas, where his paintings are now influenced by the smells, sounds and forms of his new home.
